Our 3rd graders had a bloomin’ awesome day with special visitors from Thanksgiving Point!
Our young botanists got a hands-on lesson on the tulip life cycle—learning how tiny bulbs transform into bright spring blooms. But they didn't just learn about it; they rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty, and planted tulip bulbs right in front of the school!
Keep an eye on our front flowerbeds this coming spring to see their hard work bloom into a colorful welcome for everyone.
Huge thanks to Thanksgiving Point for bringing science to life! 🌿✨

Our 6th graders brought astronomy to life today with a quick, hands-on experiment! Instead of just reading about moon phases, our space explorers headed to the Makerspace to project them using lights and shadows.
By manipulating light sources and casting precise shadows across spherical models, students got to see firsthand how the moon's position creates everything from a sliver of a crescent to a full, glowing moon.

Let’s make this a day to remember! 🍎⚽️

Governor Cox turned the ceremony into an incredible teaching moment. He explained the "long and hard process" of how a bill becomes a law—comparing his role of reviewing and signing bills to the "homework" our students do every day! It was a powerful reminder that leadership involves a lot of listening, learning, and hard work.
While the Governor signed several education bills during his visit, the heart of the discussion was about our children's future and the irreplaceable value of books and reading.
Governor Cox noted that Utah is consistently ranked as a top place to live and work, and he attributed that success directly to the strength of our public education system.
